Dog and Puppy Health
We are very exited to have brought the property "Woodpark Estate" in June 2015 off Gemma's late father, and is now very pleased to be back home on the family property she grew up on. Being young and energetic we have made a lot of changes to the property , and the health and well being of the sires and dams. Some of these changes include a healthier diet, new fencing for both pens and recreational areas ( 2x 2 acre play areas), updated whelping sheds with 24hr video surveillance both the security of the mothers whelping and to keep a close eye on the whelping itself, new puppy play pens, and following in john footsteps planting more trees.
We at Woodpark Estate strive to improve to ensure the sire and dams have a happy and comfortable life. Our adult dogs are in large open shady pens, with lots of area to play around, and large kennels to sleep in. All yards have misters for hot summers. Our sire and dams are on a healthy diet of dry pellets and bones to protect and clean their teeth. Our dams are fed a mince mix as well as their dry pellets before and during whelping and through the raising of her litter to maintain the health of both mother and puppies. We are always researching and improving.
We are currently doing relative genetic testing and hip scoring of all of our sires and dams for peace of mind for the client, as we believe to a professional breeder you must ensure to the client that you have done everything possible to achieve a healthy pup. Our aim is to breed well breed family pets with relevant testing to ensure healthy pups and dogs.
Our sire and dams are Vet check every six months and vaccinated each year to ensure our dogs are in optimal condition, along with all parasite control. Due to extreme changes of seasons our dogs are clipped for the appropriate season twice a year. We aim is to exceed the Code of Practice for the Breeding of rearing of Dogs. We are Licensed Breeders with our Local Council (permit Number DP1010860). We work very closely with our local vet to ensure the health and well been of the sire and dams.
Our retired dogs are available for rehoming. We rehome them by matching up clients with the personalities of our available dogs. We encourage potential clients to contact us about our dogs for re homing who possibly don't want a puppy.
Our pups are wormed at 2,4,6 and 8 weeks of age, we have a special dietary plan to ensure the pups development and weight gain from birth to 8 weeks or when we believe the pup is in optimal condition to go to his or her new home. We are always here to answer questions about your puppy both pre and post puppy. We want to make the transition between breeder and client the best it can be for both puppy and client.
All our pups are Vet checked and vaccinated with C3 Nobivac at 6 weeks of age. We currently use Homesafe ID for our microchipping that will be placed on a national database at point of sale.
We encourage viewing after 6 weeks of age, and pick-ups (* weeks) so you can meet us, and the parents of your pup. If you are unable to visit then we can organise flights interstate. We offer Melbourne clients free delivery of their pup from us at 8 weeks of age.
We supply a puppy pack which includes: Vaccination card, micro-chip change over paperwork, parent photos, all fortnightly puppy photos, relevant hip score information, and a detailed care sheet.
